Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Manager of IT Systems and Automation to oversee the technological infrastructure and automation initiatives of our firm. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our internal systems, automating and streamlining processes, and leveraging technology to drive efficiency, support our operational needs, and improve client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain the firm's IT systems, networks, and infrastructure, ensuring their stability, security, and optimal performance.
  2. Implement and troubleshoot all third-party software used by the firm (e.g., QuickBooks, Plooto, Dext, Canopy, etc.).
  3. Develop and implement strategic plans to automate business processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
  4. Ensure the security, integrity, and confidentiality of data by establishing and enforcing appropriate IT policies and procedures.
  5. Perform system maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting as required to minimize downtime.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their technological needs and design custom solutions.
  7. Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network issues, providing technical support to staff members when necessary.
  8. Train and mentor team members on the use of new systems and applications, fostering a tech-forward culture.
  9. Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, ensuring the cost-effective procurement and maintenance of all IT-related equipment and software.
  10. Stay abreast of new industry trends and technologies to drive innovation and maintain competitiveness.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years' experience in IT systems management, preferably in a financial services or accounting firm.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree would be an advantage.
