We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Cook to join our team at Universal Event Space. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing special events, preparing and cooking meals, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Event Coordination: Coordinate with event planners and clients to understand their needs and preferences, and ensure seamless execution of events.
- Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Team Management: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and training to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment, and order supplies as needed.
- Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Various locations, including event spaces and catering facilities.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
- Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication, flexibility, organized, reliability, and team player.

- Work Term: Permanent position.

- Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
