Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at North Eastern Trucking Inc. as a Heavy Equipment Repair Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of commercial transport trucks, ensuring they are in top working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, including automotive and truck-trailer systems.
  • Inspection and Testing: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and adjust or replace parts as needed.
  • Estimation and Reporting: Estimate parts and labor costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs, and complete reports to record problems and work performed.
  • Customer Service: Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements, and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with overtime required.
  • Physical Capabilities: Hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.
