Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Teller Supervisor to join our team at Cash-A-Cheque. As a key member of our banking operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our tellers, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Authorize routine deposits and withdrawals, ensuring accurate and efficient transactions.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to optimize productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Examine and verify the accuracy of work, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Perform same duties as workers supervised, demonstrating a strong understanding of our financial services and operations.
  • Recruit and hire staff, ensuring a diverse and skilled team that meets our business needs.
  • Maintain operation of computer systems, equipment, and machinery, arranging repair work to ensure business continuity and customer service delivery.
  • Review and update credit and loan files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Prepare statements on delinquent accounts, taking proactive steps to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Forward irreconcilable accounts for collector action, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Complete credit and loan documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Authorize loan and credit applications, making informed decisions based on customer creditworthiness.
  • Process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, ensuring accurate and efficient transactions.
  • Manage cash, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial services and operations, including banking regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues or discrepancies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and high levels of pressure.
  • Reliability, dependability, and a strong work ethic, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
