Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Banking Operations Supervisor to join our team at Cash-A-Cheque. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our financial services, including managing cash flow, authorizing transactions, and supervising a team of tellers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Authorize routine deposits and withdrawals, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of customer transactions.
  • Establish and maintain work schedules and procedures to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Examine and verify the accuracy of work performed by team members, addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Prepare and submit reports on operational performance, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Perform same duties as workers supervised, maintaining a hands-on approach to leadership.
  • Recruit and hire staff, selecting candidates with the necessary skills and qualifications for the role.
  • Maintain operation of computer systems, equipment, machinery, and arrange repair work to ensure business continuity and customer service delivery.
  • Review and update credit and loan files, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare statements on delinquent accounts, taking prompt action to resolve outstanding balances.
  • Forward irreconcilable accounts for collector action, ensuring timely resolution of disputes.
  • Complete credit and loan documentation, verifying accuracy and completeness before submission.
  • Authorize loan and credit applications, making informed decisions based on customer information and financial data.
  • Process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, ensuring secure and efficient handling of customer funds.
  • Manage cash, maintaining accurate records of receipts and disbursements.

Requirements:

  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field, such as finance or business administration.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Equivalent experience in a related field may be considered.
