Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Analyst to join our Global Transaction Banking team. As a Senior Technical Analyst, you will be responsible for providing full system life cycle management and support of our file translation platform, which delivers payment and reporting services to our commercial and corporate customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement database structures and schemas to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Monitor database performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Create and enforce data security policies and procedures to protect sensitive information.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
- Troubleshoot database issues and collaborate with IT staff to resolve them.
- Develop automation for day-to-day operational database tasks to improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date database documentation.
- Train the team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Working knowledge of relational and embedded database technologies (SQL server, Microsoft Access).
- Expert knowledge of SQL tuning and database performance optimization.
- Experience with performance tuning of MS databases, highly available payment and transactional systems, data replication, and database clusters.
- Understanding of financial payment products and services is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong team player with ability to interact seamlessly with others in a team environment.
