Job Description

BMO is actively seeking a Business Process Analyst for a 6-month contract role.

The Business Process Analyst will focus primarily on Analytics and Reporting projects, with additional responsibilities in process management and transformation. This role involves designing, developing, testing, implementing, measuring, and overseeing processes and associated KPIs.

This position provides the opportunity to work within a well-established institution and collaborate with various teams at BMO, allowing for the development of valuable skills and confidence. The individual will gain exposure to multiple lines of business, presenting numerous opportunities for learning, growth, and advancement.

This role is situated within the Mutual Funds Governance and Retail Investments Process team, which is responsible for supporting and continuously enhancing retail investment processes in branches, leading transformational digitization initiatives, and overseeing all mutual fund dealer activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, develop, and monitor metrics and KPIs for investment projects and processes across all channels.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of analytic and reporting solutions.
  • Extract and analyze data to identify patterns and insights that inform action plans and strategic direction.
  • Provide strategic support to the leadership team regarding Mutual Funds Governance and Retail Investments Process.
  • Track compliance and operational effectiveness metrics and KPIs.
  • Build and publish dashboards and scorecards to monitor key process and governance metrics.
  • Utilize data to identify root causes and key drivers of metrics, defining and monitoring appropriate action plans.
  • Identify emerging issues and trends to support informed decision-making.
  • Ensure alignment between stakeholders regarding business and data needs.
  • Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
  • Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Document and maintain operational procedures related to analytical and reporting processes.
  • Collaborate in the design, implementation, and management of core business processes.
  • Streamline and continuously improve existing processes.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate, simplify, and automate processes.
  • Engage with stakeholders to manage expectations and negotiate project scope and deliverables.
  • Create and deliver presentations summarizing findings and recommendations to executives and senior management.

Education/Certifications:
