Carpenter Specialist

About the Role
Lafarge Precast division is seeking a skilled Journeyperson Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate must be safety-conscious and quality-oriented, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect formwork and rebar for quality and compliance
- Direct placement of concrete into forms and surfaces
- Apply sealing components to cure surfaces
- Complete Field Level Risk Assessments before beginning each task
- Position or dismantle forms for pouring concrete
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints needed for concrete Precast forms
- Assist other carpenters with the assembly of the framework
- Prepare layouts of forms from drawings that are provided
- Measure, cut, and assemble in accordance with specifications
- Capable of using various power tools, including hand saws and table saws
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Trade registered in carpentry (an asset)
Preferred Experience
- Concrete Form Setter experience
- Experience working in a production line setting
- CSTS-09 or other safety certificates (an asset)
