Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Body Repair Specialist to join our team at Forest Hill Auto Body Co. LTD. This permanent position requires a commitment to excellence and a passion for automotive repair.

Work Environment
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 40 to 44 hours per week
  • Relocation: Willingness to relocate is essential, as relocation costs are not covered by the employer.
Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the automotive repair field.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess repair costs based on damage evaluation reports.
  • Conduct inspections on repaired vehicles to ensure quality standards.
  • Plan and organize repair tasks efficiently.
  • Provide exceptional customer service with professionalism.
  • Perform test drives to verify vehicle handling.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Supervise and instruct apprentices in repair techniques.
  • Replace and repair various auto body components including frames, doors, and underbody parts.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by filing, grinding, and sanding.
  • Utilize masking and taping techniques for paint preparation.
  • Repair dents and defects using appropriate tools.
  • Remove and replace damaged panels and components.
  • Apply primers and paint to surfaces.
  • Repair or replace interior parts as needed.
  • Handle repairs for windows, windshields, and sunroofs.
  • Mix and match paint colors for optimal results.
  • Use soldering equipment and plastic fillers for repairs.
  • Straighten bent frames using specialized equipment.
  • Prepare surfaces meticulously for painting.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Expertise in frame straightening and metal cutting.
  • Proficiency in paint spraying techniques.
  • Experience with welding and uni-body machinery.
Safety and Security
  • Must pass a criminal record check.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Must be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
