About the Role

Fruiticana is seeking a skilled Butcher to join our retail team. As a Butcher, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our meat department is always fully stocked and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cutting and Preparing Meat
    • Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters to meet customer demands
    • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat for display and sale
    • Wrap and package prepared meats for customer purchase
  • Meat Department Maintenance
    • Remove bones from meat to ensure quality and presentation
    • Cut poultry into parts for customer convenience
    • Clean and prepare fish and shellfish for display and sale
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries
    • Offer product recommendations and suggestions to customers
  • Store Operations
    • Participate in store opening and closing procedures
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
    Requirements
    • Education
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • Experience
      • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail or meat cutting environment
    • Skills
      • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
      • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects
      • Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service
