Job Title: Construction Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Construction Electrician to join our team at Desire Peak Construction Inc.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in construction projects. This includes designing and constructing single-phase services, testing and measuring voltage, and troubleshooting faults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and construct single-phase services for single or multi-meter installations
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, and ground faults integrity of circuits
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical systems
  • Install surface mount and/or overhead cables
  • Instruct apprentices in electrical installation and maintenance
  • Supervise other workers on electrical projects
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs to ensure electrical systems are functioning properly
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in electrical trades
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Physical ability to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
