We are seeking an Industrial Scale Maintenance Specialist to join our team in East Winnipeg. This role involves working on industrial scales, with opportunities to become a Measurement Canada Recognized Technician within approximately one year.

The selected candidate will be required to demonstrate punctuality, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to learning. The initial 12 months will involve primarily job shadowing and assisting senior technicians while working towards certification.

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Perform or assist with the setup, installation, repair, maintenance, calibration, and certification of industrial and commercial weighing systems
  • Troubleshoot and analyze industry-related equipment and make repairs as necessary
  • Communicate effectively with customers and provide technical assistance both in person and over the phone
  • Write neat and accurate service reports and calibration certificates
  • Participate in company training as requested

Requirements for Success

  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain class 3 and air brakes (with employer coverage for testing costs)
  • Ability to travel within Canada for up to a week as needed
  • Capability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments and exposure to dust, dirt, and fumes may occur
  • Physical ability to lift and carry 40-50lbs hand weights
  • Good understanding of the English language, written and oral
  • Organizational, efficient, and detail-oriented individual
  • Commitment to learning
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug/alcohol screening prior to hiring, with random testing throughout employment as required by certain customer sites
  • Possibility of being in confined spaces and elevated heights
