About the Role

This full-time position requires a registered nurse with recent experience working with this population in an outpatient setting. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring services that meet the needs of clients, while working collaboratively with multiple service providers. Travel throughout Grey and Bruce Counties may be required to deliver programs and meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor services to meet client needs

Required Qualifications
  • Registration with the Ontario College of Nurses as a Registered Nurse
  • CNA Certification in Psychiatry and Mental Health Nursing
  • 5 years recent experience working with this population in an outpatient setting
  • Current CPI training
  • CPR basic certification
  • Knowledge of the principles and practice of the Recovery Model
  • Knowledge of current psychiatric medications
  • Psycho/social and mental status assessment skills
  • Experience in medication delivery, administration, and monitoring
  • Ability to provide a wide range of counseling, support, advocacy, and education services to clients
  • Ability to communicate positively and professionally with family members, community providers, and physicians
  • Knowledge of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and the Mental Health Act
Preferred Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing
Salary and Benefits
