About Primaris REIT

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Asset Manager to lead our team at our Peter Pond Mall in Fort McMurray, AB. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for executing our strategic vision and driving business results.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:

The Strategic Asset Manager will be accountable for the overall performance of the property, including financial, marketing, leasing, and service divisions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Prepare and oversee operating budgets and accounts receivable, monitor key financial measurement targets, and analyze financial data to inform decision-making.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Supervise, coach, and train direct reports, mentor and evaluate team members, and develop strategies to improve employee job satisfaction and productivity.
  • Asset Management: Develop and implement asset management plans, conduct regular property inspections, and identify opportunities for capital plan procurement synergies.
  • Relationship Building: Foster positive relationships with tenants, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders, ensuring sound relations are consistently maintained.
  • Communication: Develop and deliver regular reports, communications, and responses to inquiries from various internal departments, including senior management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • BOMI courses or certifications.
  • Provincial Real Estate License preferred.
  • RPA, CPM, CSM or similar designation an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in shopping centre management with progressive levels of responsibility.
  • Minimum 3 years experience managing & leading a team.
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience using an ERP system (preferably Yardi).
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  • Analytically minded with ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations as they arise.
  • Ability to motivate, delegate and empower effectively.
