The Mikisew Cree First Nation (Mikisew) has lived on the ancestral lands of the Athabasca Delta and Wood Buffalo National Park in northeastern Alberta since time immemorial. Many of our members live in the hamlet of Fort Chipewyan, and our traditional lands rane over a large portion of Athabasca oil sands deposits. **Who You Are**

Mikisew Cree First Nation is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as an Asset Manager. As the Asset Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing and managing the organization's physical assets, ensuring their effective utilization, maintenance, and strategic planning. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the Mikisew Cree First Nation community.

**Who You Are**
- Develop and implement comprehensive asset management strategies and plans.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of physical assets, including acquisition, maintenance, and disposal.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments to ensure assets are well-maintained and comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Coordinate and oversee preventive maintenance programs, repairs, and upgrades for all assets.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset records, including inventory, condition assessments, and maintenance history.
- Collaborate with relevant departments and stakeholders to identify asset needs, prioritize projects, and allocate resources effectively.
- Monitor asset performance and identify opportunities for improvement in cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in asset management.

**Qualifications**
- A minimum High School diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of First Nations communities.
- Proven experience in building working relationships with First Nations communities and partners.
- Proven experience in asset management, preferably in a related industry or community setting.
- Strong knowledge of asset management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficient in using computer software and systems for asset management and reporting.

**Other Requirements**
- Possess valid Class 5 AB driver’s license and own or access to a vehicle.

**- Willingness to relocate to Fort Chipewyan or travel as much as required.**
- Willingness and ability to work after hours and/or weekends when required.
- Successful completion of First Aid.
- Willing to work flexible schedule.
- Must provide and possess a clear criminal record vulnerable sector check.
- Ability to speak and/or understand the Cree language (or another applicable First Nation language) would be beneficial.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
