POSITION SUMMARY

Journeyperson Pipefitters at Strike Group possess a comprehensive range of knowledge and skills required to design, assemble, install, and maintain complex pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for various industrial applications. They are expected to uphold a strong commitment to safety and adhere to Strike's Code of Conduct and Values, promoting a culture of respect, fairness, and dignity in the workplace.

PROJECT DETAILS

  • Fall turnaround project from September 9th to 30th
  • Project location: Rainbow Lake
  • Paid travel and accommodation arrangements
  • Camp or leave of absence available

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Read and interpret complex construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID's, etc.)
  • Assemble piping and valves in module and compressor packages
  • Prepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting, and rigging
  • Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility
  • Measure, cut, and thread pipe to the required shape
  • Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems
  • Remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a valid Journeyperson certificate from the appropriate provincial or federal authority

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working in outdoor environments
