We are seeking a skilled Handyman/Woman to join our team at Dawson City General Store Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our office building, including minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair power tools and other equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Task Completion: Complete tasks such as painting, drywall repair, and moving heavy furniture and equipment with minimal supervision.
- Work Environment: Work in a variety of settings, including office buildings, commercial buildings, and other locations as required.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a maintenance or repair role.
- Skills: Excellent oral communication skills, dependability, flexibility, judgement, and reliability.
- Physical Demands: Ability to handle heavy loads, repetitive tasks, and physically demanding work.
- Work Schedule: 35 to 40 hours per week.
- Language: English.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license required.
