About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Little Otters Daycare Centre Ltd. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement engaging child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our children, promoting their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities, tell stories, teach songs, and take children on outings to local points of interest, fostering a love for learning and exploration.
  • Child Support: Assist children in developing essential life skills, such as eating, dressing, and toilet habits, while promoting independence and self-confidence.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor children's progress, identifying potential learning or behavioral issues, and prepare comprehensive reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Staff Collaboration: Establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and community service providers, working together to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children.
  • Activity Planning: Organize and lead activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours, providing a safe and engaging environment for them to thrive.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Qualifications: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
