About the RoleIn this exciting position, you'll utilize your analytical skills to manage the appraisal process for large commercial and personal property losses. Your expertise will be invaluable in conducting inspections, identifying the scope of damages, and creating cost estimates for buildings requiring major repairs.
You'll work closely with customers and vendors to deliver exceptional service and ensure that restoration timelines and budgets are met. Your ability to think critically and solve problems will be essential in providing technical support to internal and external claims adjusters.
What You'll Do- Determine and complete the scope of large losses, preparing detailed repair estimates of damaged buildings.
- Travel on short notice to customers' locations to conduct site visits.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, providing empathetic support throughout the claims process.
- Collaborate with vendors to negotiate restoration cost agreements and ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Work with the regular loss team to provide support on customer claims when needed.
- Five to eight years of experience in post-claim appraisal, with at least two to three years in large losses.
- Diploma in building appraisal and/or a relevant combination of education and experience.
- A valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Technical knowledge of restoration processes and high-level proficiency in Xactimate estimating software.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, as well as strong interpersonal abilities.
- An attractive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, based on experience.
