Procurement Specialist Job Description

Adecco Canada is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our client's team in Toronto. This hybrid role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in sourcing, particularly within the technology sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Triage incoming software sourcing intake requests and recommend distribution of software sub-categories.
  • Develop relationships with IT leaders to support enterprise objectives and collaborate on strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit and Operations leaders to understand key business drivers and support levels.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives to develop high-quality, cost-effective supply relationships, focusing on total cost of ownership (TCO) savings.
  • Manage SaaS within technology software sourcing, contributing to a robust supplier management process.
  • Track sourcing initiatives, ensuring effective strategy development, market assessments, RFP processes, and supplier negotiations.
  • Proactively engage with Business Line VMOs and contract owners to build supplier contract strategies and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Minimum 3 years as a Sourcing Specialist with experience in the technology space.
  • Proven ability in contract negotiation with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in financial institutions (Tier 2 finance or insurance is a plus).
  • Familiarity with Coupa and ServiceNow is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, presentation abilities, and stakeholder management skills.
