We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at St Louis Bar and Grill. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
- Order supplies and equipment to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize kitchen operations.
- Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Manage kitchen operations to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
- Excellent oral communication skills to effectively communicate with staff and customers.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing kitchen conditions and priorities.
- Judgement to make informed decisions in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Organized to maintain a clean and efficient kitchen.
- Team player to work effectively with staff and management.
- Time management to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
