About the Role

As a Backend Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud-based commerce platform. You'll work closely with our cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize features, and collaborate with our engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable, efficient, and secure backend systems
  • Collaborate with our engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment
  • Work closely with our product teams to identify and prioritize features
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, adhering to our coding standards and best practices
  • Participate in daily agile ceremonies and contribute to our engineering practices
What We're Looking For

We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Backend Engineer who is passionate about building scalable and efficient systems. You'll have a strong background in Java, with experience in automated testing frameworks, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and relational and non-relational databases.

Additionally, you'll have:

  • 5+ years of production usage experience with Java
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency in English, with effective communication skills
  • One additional backend language (Python, Go)
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Experience with both relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases
  • Computer Sciences degree or equivalent
