Interior Health Authority is seeking a skilled Coordinator, Practitioner Billing to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the accounts receivable, billing, and collections functions for Interior Health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the accounts receivable, billing, and collections functions for Interior Health, ensuring processing efficiencies, audit controls, and appropriate accounting practices are followed.
  • Plan, approve, and implement automations to affect bargaining unit jobs.
  • Responsible for fee schedule implementation, collection policy, and making recommendations to support changes.
  • Analyze accounts and billing/revenue data and prepare reports as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a recognized accounting program, supplemented with Accounts Receivable Collection courses.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, including Excel, in a complex, computerized environment.
  • Physician billing experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
