About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at Lakeside Variety Store. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Assist with payroll processing, benefits administration, and other HR-related tasks.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Skills: MS Excel, MS Word, QuickBooks, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment

This is a permanent full-time position with 35 hours of work per week. The language of work is English.
