Join Our Team as a Senior Accounting Manager

At TSX Inc., we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a critical role in managing our financial reporting cycle, ensuring compliance with IFRS Accounting Standards, and driving process efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities for key operating subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage close checklists, review journal entries and account reconciliations, and promote continuous improvement in our accounting processes.
  • Partner with other departments to understand and support business processes, ensure proper accounting, and resolve reconciling differences.
  • Conduct trial balance reviews, providing insights and analysis on trends and material movements.
  • Leverage technology to build scalable and sustainable processes, creating efficiencies and streamlining accounting operations.
  • Manage the accounting for HR/payroll-related activities, including accounting for long-term incentive plans.
  • Review financial ratios and covenants, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the functional owner for accounting processes within Workday, recommending customization decisions and content releases.
  • Lead efforts to centralize, standardize, rationalize, and optimize accounting and financial reporting activities.
  • Define and monitor key success metrics and accounting capacity as part of the planning, prioritization, and execution of recommended roadmap items.
Requirements:
  • University undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting.
  • Canadian CPA designation (or equivalent).
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in accounting and 4+ years of people management experience.
  • Experience in multi-entity structures.
  • Subject matter expertise related to large-scale general ledger or accounting systems such as Workday, Oracle, or SAP.
  • In-depth understanding of IFRS Accounting Standards and working knowledge of external reporting requirements for publicly traded companies.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with a big-picture strategic understanding.
  • Proven ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and delivering quality and excellence.
  • Experience driving and implementing change, leading through collaboration and influence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, along with superior presentation skills.
  • Effective and positive management style supporting staff through example, coaching, and development.
