About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled PeopleSoft General Ledger Functional Analyst to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for developing and supporting the PeopleSoft General Ledger module, ensuring seamless integration with other interfaces and modules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and document business requirements from user perspectives, ensuring that business needs are accurately translated into functional requirements and design.
  • Work closely with the Finance department and other stakeholders to gather information, analyze business processes, and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with Developers to provide guidance and ensure that business requirements are properly satisfied in functional requirements and design.
  • Participate in testing, testing reviews, and analysis of testing results, and assist with troubleshooting and providing recommendations.
  • Effectively partner with Finance and other IT personnel to deliver solutions, resolving issues quickly and effectively to enable delivery and support of applications.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a PeopleSoft Functional or Business Analyst, with at least 5 years of experience with PeopleSoft GL module and nVision reporting.
  • Strong understanding of PC, Windows environment, SQL, and PeopleSoft reporting tools (Query and nVision).
  • Ability to write functional requirements, use cases, and other analysis/design artifacts effectively.
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or IT.
