About the Role
This position supports the Hospital's academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning and/or transforming care through research and innovation.
As a member of a multidisciplinary team, you will promote workplace health, safety, and wellness for all persons who carry on work activities at North York General Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary care and physically assessing and managing a variety of health conditions
- Health & illness absence management and adverse event management
- Disease surveillance and immunization, responding to emergency situations, and education and teaching

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Decisive and able to make big decisions, taking ownership of actions and using critical thinking and problem-solving skills in the best interests of the patient

- Committed to ongoing learning and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills
Qualifications
- Diploma in Nursing, Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Diploma or certification in Occupational Health & Safety and/or COHN (C) designation or equivalent
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (BCLS)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Occupational Health experience in an acute healthcare facility
