About the Role

This position supports the Hospital's academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning and/or transforming care through research and innovation.

As a member of a multidisciplinary team, you will promote workplace health, safety, and wellness for all persons who carry on work activities at North York General Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primary care and physically assessing and managing a variety of health conditions
  • Health & illness absence management and adverse event management
  • Disease surveillance and immunization, responding to emergency situations, and education and teaching

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Nursing, Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Diploma or certification in Occupational Health & Safety and/or COHN (C) designation or equivalent
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (BCLS)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Occupational Health experience in an acute healthcare facility
