Job Summary

As an Administrative Assistant - Occupational Health at North York General Hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness Department.

Key Responsibilities


  • Assist the department leadership in establishing and managing the office
  • Perform reception/public relations' functions and maintain current databases, policies and procedures
  • Provide clerical assistance to organize and manage physicians' appointments and requirements
  • Ensure confidentiality of telephone communications and office files
  • Organize conferences and meetings, and ensure payroll and expenses are organized and brought forward for payment


Requirements


  • College Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 3 years relevant administrative assistant experience preferred
  • Accurate and efficient keyboarding skills
  • Knowledge of computer software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Parklane, Sharepoint, and E-Learning Software
  • Working knowledge of Individual and Team environments
  • Good knowledge of medical terminology
  • Understanding of general Occupational Health and Safety policies/legislation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent organizational, priority setting, and time management skills
  • Proven ability to resolve conflict and problem solve
  • Ability to maintain a pleasant and professional manner while dealing with multiple and competing work priorities
