Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Team Lead to join our team at Dairy Queen. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of food service staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Hire, train, and develop food service staff to meet the needs of our restaurant.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, exceeding customer expectations.
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules, including staffing, inventory management, and supply ordering.
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to ensure efficient operations.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with physical demands.
    • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of our restaurant.
Work Environment
