Assistant Professor, Nursing

Thompson Rivers University is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Assistant/Associate Professor, NP. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the growth and development of our Nursing program.
About the PositionThe successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our Nursing program, as well as contributing to the development of curriculum and course materials. This is a tripartite or bipartite position, and the successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with our faculty and staff to achieve the goals of the program.
Qualifications- PhD or other doctorate in a relevant field; consideration may be given to doctoral candidates who will complete their degree by the appointment date or shortly thereafter;
- A bipartite appointment may be considered with a Master's degree and current practice and teaching experience;
- Master's Nurse Practitioner degree;
- Holds a minimum of one (1) degree in nursing;
- Five (5) years of full-time or equivalent hours of nursing experience;
- Evidence of continuous learning in your area of nursing;
- Experience teaching theory and clinical practice;
- An understanding of, and experience in, the Canadian healthcare system;
- Current NP registration in a Canadian jurisdiction in good standing without limits or conditions, and/or eligibility for registration with BCCNM;
