Academic Program Director

Job Summary
The Academic Program Manager will lead the Academic Upgrading and Integrated Training program at NorQuest College, working closely with the Dean, Faculty of Skills and Foundational Learning. This role involves assisting in leading the Faculty, acting as an internal and external liaison, supporting planning and staff development, and working with other NorQuesters to establish and implement goals and objectives to ensure an effective learning environment is maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide input, guidance, feedback, and unit perspectives related to Program Development & Review, Faculty Development, Educational Technology, Work Integrated Learning, Community Service Learning, and the future direction and implementation of Reimagine Higher Education.
- Support senior leadership in administrative and operational leadership, fiscal planning, and management within the faculty.
- Ensure maintenance of an effective learning environment.
- Resolve academic appeals.
- Support program reporting, Faculty assignments, external Program Approvals (accreditation).
- Manage Timetabling activities in collaboration with the Office of the Registrar, faculty, and staff.
- Provide operational execution and oversight of the strategic enrolment management plan and priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Master's in Education is preferred.
- Permanent teaching certificate.
- Leadership, management, and supervisory experience in a post-secondary environment supporting adult learnings from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience teaching in online environments.
