GHD is seeking a seasoned Lead Waste Management Engineer to join our North American team of professionals dedicated to delivering innovative waste management solutions. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of waste management in our communities.

About the Role:

  • Lead complex waste and energy solutions projects for municipal and private clients, ensuring timely completion and exceeding client expectations.
  • Develop and implement technical approaches for new project proposals, driving business growth and expansion.
  • Mentor and guide intermediate and junior technical staff, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and stakeholders, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and excellence in our projects.

What We're Looking For:

  • A seasoned engineer with a strong background in waste management, preferably with Ontario accreditation.
  • At least 15 years of experience in the solid waste industry, with a minimum of 10 years in a consulting role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse and dynamic team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint, with experience in Autodesk AutoCAD or Civil 3D an asset.
  • A valid Ontario driver's license and a good driving record.
