Laundry Supervisor Job Description

The Ridge Hotel & Suites is seeking a skilled Laundry Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our laundry facility. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our laundry equipment and machinery, as well as supervising the activities of our laundry staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair work for laundry equipment and machinery
  • Assist clients with special needs and provide exceptional customer service
  • Be the point of contact for emergency situations and ensure prompt resolution
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations
  • Monitor quality and production levels to ensure high standards are met
  • Oversee the cleaning of specialty and difficult items, and ensure they are handled with care
  • Prepare and submit progress reports to management
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Supervise the operation of mechanical equipment and machinery, and ensure they are used safely and efficiently
  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of laundry staff, and provide training and guidance as needed
  • Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition, and provide assistance with job duties, safety procedures, and company policies
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience
