Job Summary:

The Senior Project Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design, start-up, and qualification of new installations in formulation, aseptic filling under isolators/RABS grade A, freeze-drying, and clean utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with process design-engineering firms, equipment vendors, and Construction Managers during the Design, equipment fabrication, installation, and CQV phases of the process equipment and systems.
  • Manage a team of process specialists and technical personnel, assigning tasks and overseeing project logistics related to process equipment procurements and process resource allocation.
  • Develop and oversee project budgets and schedules, engaging in cost management strategies for process equipment and systems.
  • Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including investors and potential customers as required by the Project Director.
  • Ensure that processes and equipment meet quality (GMP) and safety compliance guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other team leaders and facility departments.

Requirements:

  • BS in engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) required.
  • 5-10 years relevant work experience in pharma.
  • 3-5 years in project management experience.
  • Master's degree in engineering or MBA a plus.
  • Ability to establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interface with key stakeholders of the project.
  • Flexible thinking, including the ability to pivot and try new approaches when faced with challenges.
  • Commitment to driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing best practices to enhance project execution.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage change.
  • Proficiency using presentation software to explain complex information to non-technical management personnel and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously.
  • Past use of Agile/Scrum or similar collaborative tools a plus.
  • Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) platforms a plus.
