Staff Lawyer Responsibilities

  1. Providing advice and legal representation on family matters in Supreme Court (Family Division).
  2. Giving legal opinions, filing documents, attending court proceedings, participating in mediation sessions, and offering expert advice to clients.
  3. Possibly engaging in community outreach and delivering legal education in family law and related procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) Degree.
  • Practicing member in good standing of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society.
