Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary
Johnson Controls is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead our project development team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical components, machinery, and equipment using applied knowledge of engineering principles.
About the Role
- Provide technical design support to the engineering department with a focus on mechanical design engineering.
- Design product assembly lines with production coordinators and engineers, ensuring all associated administrative work is addressed in advance of construction kickoff.
- Develop new and innovative product lines and refine existing products.
- Specialize in applied mechanical design, psychrometrics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics, applicable codes and standards, and HVAC industry design practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSc. Eng., B.Eng.).
- Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation.
- Five or more years of related experience, including three years of experience in HVAC design.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD software and ability to integrate new technologies into machines.
