About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Elder Tree Montessori. As an Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our daycare and contributing to the development of our young students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and organized daycare environment, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
  • Engage children in creative activities, such as storytelling, singing, and arts and crafts, to promote their cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Support the preparation of snacks and meals, as well as the arrangement of rooms and furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children and prepare reports for parents and guardians, highlighting their progress and any areas for improvement.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss the progress and challenges of our students.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent employment with 35 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
