Job Summary

The Senior Coordinator is a key position at Northlands College, responsible for initiating, implementing, and monitoring programs that align with the College's program plan. This role plays a significant role in identifying community or industry needs, developing partnerships, and evaluating and adapting programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development
    • Conduct needs assessments to identify community or industry needs
    • Develop and recommend program proposals to meet identified needs
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to advertise programs and recruit students
  • Program Implementation
    • Initiate and implement programs consistent with the College program plan
    • Supervise and evaluate instructors and administrative program staff
    • Resolve conflicts and provide suggestions on staff professional development
  • Program Evaluation
    • Monitor program delivery and effectiveness in meeting community/industry needs
    • Conduct follow-up and evaluate program effectiveness
    • Provide timely reports to the Executive Regional Director and funding agencies
  • Communication and Partnerships
    • Provide programming information to students, training partners, and the general public
    • Assist in developing or modifying College policy and procedures
    • Represent the College or their region on committees
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor of Education degree with a Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate
  • Experience
    • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Skills
    • Proven organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects
    • Supervisory skills in managing personnel, evaluating performance, problem-solving, and conflict resolution
    • Intermediate computer skills in word processing and spreadsheet software
    • Knowledge of adult learning theories and teaching strategies
