Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Pacific Industrial Movers LP (dba) Apex Specialized Rigging & Moving and Pro-Tech Industrial Movers, part of NorLand Limited. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for the daily maintenance and repair of equipment, including tractors, trailers, forklifts, and cranes, used in various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues with equipment.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and implement preventive maintenance measures.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Transport Vehicle Mechanic to ensure seamless daily operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, customer requirements, and product innovations.

Requirements:

  • Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic certification.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in heavy equipment maintenance.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license (no restrictions).
  • Previous experience with highway trucks and trailers, hydraulic systems, and electrical schematics is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Working Conditions:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm.
  • May require working outside regular hours to meet business needs.
  • Travel to sites may be necessary.

Compensation:

Expected wage range: $43.00 to $45.00 per hour, based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal equity, and other criteria.
