About the Role:

As a Registered Dental Hygienist at Nursing & Homemakers Inc., you will play a vital role in maintaining the oral health of our patients. Your expertise will be utilized to conduct initial dental assessments, supervise dental assistants, and provide patient education on oral hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial dental assessments to identify potential oral health issues
  • Supervise dental assistants in their health care functions
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and preventive care
  • Clean and stimulate the gums to prevent gum disease
  • Apply fluoride treatment and remove stains and deposits from teeth
  • Take, develop, and mount X-rays

Requirements:

  • Dental Hygienists Licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a dental practice setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
