Job Title: Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team at Alberta Ltd. o/a Petro Canada. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, including preparing general ledgers, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to management
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Perform general office duties, including answering phones and responding to emails
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting or a related field
  • Professional certification, such as CPA or CMA
  • Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP
