About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned technical communicator to join our team as a Developer Advocate. As a key member of our community team, you'll play a vital role in nurturing and growing our vibrant community of developers, SREs, and administrators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality technical content to educate and empower developers and SREs
  • Build and maintain relationships with community members to support and inspire them
  • Act as a conduit for community feedback to help us improve the feedback loop between user needs and Grafana's offerings
  • Collaborate with our all-remote team of advocates and community support engineers to help users build cool stuff
Requirements
  • Substantial technical experience in areas such as testing, software development, system integration, SRE, monitoring, observability, or operations
  • Collaborative mindset with a culture of learning and sharing knowledge
  • Background in a technical field, such as a BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Strong technical writing skills, as demonstrated through past written work
Nice to Have
  • Experience with observability, telemetry, application performance monitoring (APM), or similar
  • History of participation in open source developer communities
  • Experience running or organizing communities

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of CAD 146,409- CAD 175,691 in Canada. If you're passionate about open source, community building, and technical communication, we'd love to hear from you.
