Job Description

As a Heavy Duty Mechanic at ArcelorMittal Dofasco, you will play a key role in maintaining the health and safety of our equipment and ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines. Your primary responsibilities will include performing mechanical maintenance on heavy duty trucks and equipment, inspecting and repairing components, and troubleshooting complex problems.

You will work in a fast-paced industrial environment, where attention to detail and ability to follow procedures are essential. You will also be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and work in confined spaces, heights, and other challenging environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Ontario driver's license
  • 310T Truck & Coach Technician or 421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Ontario Certificate of Qualification (preferred)
  • Advanced trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
