Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Miller Paving Limited.

Job Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as loaders, graders, and excavators to perform various tasks related to road construction and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently to complete tasks on time and within budget.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment as needed.
  • Measure distance, volume, length, and weight using various tools and equipment.
  • Understand and follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Complete onboard and other logs as required.
  • Prepare accident reports and other documentation as needed.
Requirements:
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience operating heavy equipment.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.

Work Environment:

The Heavy Equipment Operator will work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
