Job Title: Hairdressing Salon Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Hairdressing Salon Supervisor to join our team at Hair Hut Barber Shop. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our salon, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high level of productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule work and manage staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work to be carried out on equipment and premises.
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs and provide a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Monitor quality and production levels, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Oversee cleaning of specialty and difficult items, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies, managing budgets and inventory effectively.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with regular breaks to rest and stretch.
  • Fast-paced environment with high levels of activity and pressure.
  • Standing for extended periods, with opportunities to sit and rest as needed.

Experience:
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of salon operations and management.

  • 30 to 40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to accommodate the needs of the salon and staff.
