About the Role

iHaul Freight Limited is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from our tractor-trailers, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
  • Operate and Drive Trucks: Drive our tractor-trailers to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain our vehicles, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment, to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Pre-Trip, En Route, and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure that our vehicles are safe and compliant with regulations.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to our central dispatch team, ensuring that all cargo and vehicle information is accurately recorded and communicated.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and gain experience in the role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 to 50 hours per week.
