Job Title: Truck Driver - Long Haul

At SYS TRUCKING, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver - Long Haul to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, utilizing computer equipment and GPS technology to optimize fuel consumption and reduce carbon emissions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Load and unload goods, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain the condition of the vehicle, performing regular inspections and repairs as needed.
  • Manage cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, ensuring accurate records and compliance with regulations.
Requirements:
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks)
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Ability to work 40 to 50 hours per week
  • Fluency in English
