Oshawa PUC Energy Services is seeking an experienced Electromechanical Technician to join our team. As an Electromechanical Technician, you will be responsible for supervising the building and testing of prototypes, assisting in design, development, and testing, and preparing estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the building and testing of prototypes to ensure they meet specifications and are safe for operation.
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical and electronic systems, including calibrating equipment and instruments.
- Prepare estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports to support project planning and execution.
- Conduct safety training programs to ensure a safe working environment.
- Install, commission, and operate electrical and electronic equipment and systems, and diagnose and repair any issues that arise.
- Set up and operate test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems.
- Complete work orders and test reports to document project progress and outcomes.
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.
- MS Office skills, including Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with electrical and electronic systems, including design, development, and testing.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
Oshawa PUC Energy Services is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. The successful candidate will be required to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and will be physically demanding at times.
LanguageThe primary language of work is English.
Hours of Work35 hours per week.
