About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join our HR team at IKO. In this role, you will develop and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs in Canada and the US to attract and retain top talent. Your responsibilities will include ensuring fair employee compensation and comprehensive benefits packages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement total rewards strategies for the organization and its business units.
  • Lead the job evaluation process, including maintaining job descriptions and establishing classifications.
  • Benchmark jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive pay for the jobs.
  • Provide analytical support and recommendations to local client-facing HR and Talent Acquisition on compensation-related events.
  • Prepare and present job and total rewards analysis requested by the business.
  • Review compensation and benefit trends in Canada and the US to understand the markets and propose recommended courses of action.
  • Collect data and perform cost analysis to be used for employee negotiations and collective bargaining.
  • Support the annual compensation cycles across North America.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in a similar role dedicated to Total Rewards, including job evaluation, benefits design, and administration in a complex organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant certification such as CEBS, CCP, CHRP, CHRL is highly preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of designing and managing compensation and benefits programs.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, and HCM, preferably Workday.

Work Authorizations and Travel

  • Up to 5-10% travel may be required.
