Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and refine estimating procedures to ensure accurate bids, meeting company requirements on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with project management to complete projects efficiently, leveraging software to optimize production and data retrieval.
- Maintain and improve estimating models, scope, and proposal templates for enhanced efficiency.
- Prepare and review bid documents for submission, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Develop and review materials take-off and estimates, utilizing industry knowledge to minimize errors.
- Analyze and implement effective data management systems, utilizing software to enhance information retrieval.
- Assist in preparing estimates for change notices, supporting project management in maintaining a streamlined process.
- Lead direct reports through coaching and development opportunities, fostering growth and success.
- Nurture professional relationships with subcontractors and vendors, prioritizing exceptional customer satisfaction, quality, safety, and value-added services.
- Cultivate effective communication and collaboration with the team, Sales, Operations, Engineering, Field, Purchasing, and Finance departments.
Requirements:
- Civil Engineering Technology degree or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience in the construction/concrete industry.
- 10 years of estimating experience.
- 5 years of managerial experience.
- Ability to interpret Architectural, Structural, Civil, and Precast shop drawings.
- Familiarity with technical specifications divisions 3, as well as divisions 0 and 1.
- Precast Prestressed Concrete Experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in BIM software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
"Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum"
